Korean Style BBQ Ribs

I don't know about you, but sometimes I get in a rut of preparing the same old tried and true recipes, carnitas tacos, green chile cheeseburgers, roast chicken, etc. So the other night I decided to give my BBQ ribs a makeover. All it took was a little Gochujang Sauce for inspiration. I've often added a little Hoisin Sauce to BBQ sauce for more of an Asian twist, but the recently at the store I saw the Gochujang Sauce & decided to add it to my repertoire. Turned out to be a hit with my family. We've dipped yam fries in it, made Thousand Island Dressing with it, used it as a steak sauce. With these Baby Back Ribs, using some Chinese 5-Spice in the dry rub, mixing Hoisin & Gochujang Sauce with crushed pineapple, ginger and other ingredients to make a sweet & salty layered sauce, it transformed the ribs into an umami experience.
